"Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" is a 2004 comedy about four anchormen (led by Ron Burgundy) that live the good life as an "Action News" broadcast team until their status is usurped by a female broadcast partner. Written by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, it was ranked #100 on Bravo's 100 funniest movies and #1 on Carbon Maloxide's list of all-time favorite movies.
The film has an all-star ensemble between its regular cast and guest appearances. Will Ferrell portrays Ron Burgundy (who has become one of Ferrell's most widely loved characters) and Christina Applegate is Veronica Corningstone and Ron's love interest, arch-rival, and broadcast partner through different parts of the story. Paul Rudd (Brian Fantana), Steve Carell (Brick Tamland), Vince Vaughn (Wes Mantooth), and Luke Wilson (Frank Vitchard) are amongst the rest of the regular cast members and there are brief cameos by Ben Stiller, Tim Robbins, Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Paul F. Tompkins, and others.
This entry for Anchorman also made EnPsychoPedia history as it was the first known international external link into the EnPsychoPedia; it was used by a Chilean website as a point of reference as discovered when entering "EnPsychoPedia" through search engines like Google and Yahoo. Unfortunately, that link to this entry has since been discarded, perhaps due to the warning on the main page.
