Bret Michaels -- (born March 15, 1963, as Bret Michael Sychak, in Bulter, Pennsylvania) is a musician, actor, and reality TV personality. He rose to fame as the lead singer of Poison, a glam metal band that epitomized the "hair band" genre. Once Poison fizzled out after its reunion tour in 1999, Bret Michaels shifted into the country music (which did not affect his writing style much beyond using strictly acoustic guitars). Starting in July 2007, his fame consisted of more television show than hit singles, including shows like "Rock of Love" and its sequels, and as a judge on the talent show "Nashville Star" (alongside Blake Shelton). On May 23, 2010, Bret Michaels beat Sharon Osbourne, Maria, Bill Goldberg, and others to win "Celebrity Apprentice 3" only weeks after suffering a serious health scare.
