Chyro Arts Venue was an independent, not-for-profit art theater in Scottsdale from 2007 until May 16, 2010. In its three seasons, it hosted a number of plays, including "Orange Flower Water," "Talk Radio," and others. Additionally, it was a preferred venue for many local bands, most notably The Dead Gear.
Chyro Arts was also recognized by the Phoenix New Times Best Of Awards in 2008 as "Best Downtown Arts Venue That's Not Downtown" and again in 2009 as "Best Rock Club Without a Liquor License."
ChyroArts was owned & operated by the small crew of Michael Peck, Tom Leveen, his wife Joy, and countless volunteers. Psycho Andy volunteered for ChryoArts in a number of areas, including graphic design; plus it was at ChyroArts that he first met Dan Zunk and Ms. Jenn X in October 2007 for the theater's first Halloween show.
