Impact Zone Wrestling (IZW) was an Arizona-based independent pro wrestling promotion. It was initially founded by the Navajo Warrior in California in mid-2000, but then Navajo, GQ Gallo, and Hollywood Yates moved its operations to Arizona where they opened a training school in late-2001. Overall, IZW led a total of 11 individuals to sign contracts with WWE.

IZW started running shows in 2002 at various venues throughout the Valley, including Bash On Ash in Tempe, Rawhide in Scottsdale, and regular appearances at Pitic in Phoenix. Through part of 2003, IZW's matches appeared on public-access television in Phoenix as a Spanish-speaking broadcast called "LL" (Lucha Libre). In early-2004, IZW stopped running shows at Pitic.

Starting in June 2004, IZW resumed a bi-weekly schedule of shows at The Sets, in Tempe. For the next five years, it ran congruent storylines with an established roster of wrestlers (see below), as well as several notable guest appearances from the likes of Honky Tonk Man, Ted DiBiase, A-Train, Mike The Miz Mizanin, Luther Reigns (a.k.a. Horshu), Johnny The Bull Stamboli (a.k.a. RELLIK), Molly Holly, Nick Dinsmore (a.k.a. Eugene), Frankie Kazarian, Sim Snuka (a.k.a. Jimmy Snuka Jr.), Bryan Danielson, and others. Additionally, IZW had its own Year-End Awards known as The Izzies.

IZW & RPW merge brands

In November 2007, IZW announced that it had merged brands with Rising Phoenix Wrestling to start a webcast called "IZW Impulse." Shortly thereafter, IZW hosted two super shows at the Broadway Rec. Center in Mesa in 2008. Although the super shows were removed from the schedule, IZW and IZW Impulse continued running its regular schedule for the next 15 months. IZW even returned to public-access television when IZW Impulse ran briefly in Coolidge.

In August 2009, The Sets closed and IZW announced that it would host events through the rest of the year at the Rage In the Cage Training Facility (a.k.a. "The Dojo") in Tempe, but it stopped running shows there after only two events (RITC closed the location later that month).

Impact Zone Wrestling had a few DVDs released under its banner through RPW and Kayfabe Home Movies. Some of the matches can be found today on YouTube, including most of The Best of IZW vol. 2, hosted by Ed The K Motley and Beaver Las Vagas.

Several members of the Message Boards reguarly followed IZW, including Psycho Andy, Jimmy Nova, Chris Hughes, Edward Motley, and Spongebob.
