Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat -- (born February 28, 1953, as Richard Blood, in Honolulu, HI) is a retired pro wrestler best known for his work in the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling, where he held numerous championships, including the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, WCW Television Championship, WCW Tag Team Championship, WCW United States championship, and WWF Intercontinental championship.
Ricky Steamboat started his career after training with Verne Gagne and he wrestled for a good 20 years before a back injury forced him out of the ring. Unlike most every other wrestler where they switch between being a face or heel, Ricky Steamboat remained a babyface through his entire career. He even had a few WWE matches against Chris Jericho in 2009, still as popular as ever.
His most famous matches were against Randy "Macho Man" Savage in 1987, which culminated in a legendary title match at WrestleMania III and against Ric Flair in 1989 with a series of unforgettable title matches at Chi-Town Rumble, TBS Clash of the Championship, and Wrestle War.
