Total Nonstop Action debuted as the first wrestling promotion to air exclusively on pay-per-view in June 2002. It was a risky business venture, but at the time, Jerry & Jeff Jarrett felt it was the only way to launch a wrestling promotion because cable networks had no foreseeable interest in professional wrestling.

Eventually, TNA found its way to Fox Sports News channel for a show called TNA Impact!, which aired on Friday afternoons following their Wednesday pay-per-view events. After reaching an agreement to move Impact! to Spike TV, TNA changed its programming structure and remodeled itself after WWE to have a weekly television show and monthly pay-per-view events starting in November 2004.

Unlike the weekly 2-hour events, these 3-hour events were given titles for marketing purposes. Below is a list of these three-hour pay-per-view events and the month/year(s) in which they aired:

  • Victory Road (November 2004, July 06, 7/07, 7/08, 7/09)
