Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) was a California-based independent pro wrestling promotion from 1998-2007. It was founded and operated by Rick Bassman, best known for bringing Sting & The Ultimate Warrior into the business. Ultimate University was its highly-successfully training school, boasting such graduates as John Cena, The Miz, Frankie Kazarian, Chris Masters, Melina, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Victoria, and numerous others. In total, UPW led upwards of 30 individuals to sign contracts with WWE.

Many men from Impact Zone Wrestling made frequent appearances in UPW, namely Navajo Warrior, Mike Knox, Fearless Jack Bull, Derick Neikirk, GQ Gallo, Hawaiian Lion, and others. Likewise, many UPW graduates made frequent appearances in IZW, including Lil' Nate, Peter Goodman, Antonio Mestre, and Lionheart.

UPW quietly ceased operations sometime in 2007 or 2008, although they have a solid amount of footage available on DVD, including a few discs featuring their full-length events and a few other discs where their guys faced established stars.
