"Wet Hot American Summer" is a 2001 independent comedy about a summer camp and its mismatched group of camp councilors. Written and directed by members of The State, the film featured several actors and actresses on the cusp of fame who have since become recognizable names. Among the cast were Paul Rudd, Christopher Meloni, Elizabeth Banks, Amy Poehler, and Bradley Cooper, as well as established names like Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, and Molly Shannon, not to mention Zak Orth, A.D. Miles, Marisa Ryan, and Marguerite Moreau.

The film was an instant favorite of Ed The K Motley when he saw it in 2002 after a year of anticipation since he was a huge fan of "The State on MTV."
